Salvage Union September Update

Hello Salvagers,
Hope you're keeping well as we approach the winter seasons. An update on all our progress so far.
Production Update
Our predicted delays to the physical pledges of Salvage Union are still looking likely. We're still aiming for PDF's to be released in December but physical copies are likely to arrive in Q1 of 2023. The project is in its layout and editing phase currently and we're working hard to get all the books, dice, adds on and everything else ready to print and production as quickly as possible. We'll keep you updated in this respect and any questions please let us know.
Salvage Union Open Table Playtests
We're currently running an Open Table Playtest of Salvage Union! This is a weekly game, open to anyone to join, which has a rotating group of players who all belong to the same Union Crawler, allowing everyone to get a chance to play.
Sessions are from 6 PM BST - 10 PM BST on Thursdays. Other sessions can also be arranged by the players as fits.
We have now charged cards for the majority of backers. We've had a few declined, please update your payment details accordingly. We'll continue to charge cards as the final few backers update their details and pay for shipping.
BackerKit Surveys
The vast majority of you have filled in your BackerKit surveys but not all of you have. There is still some time to do so and we will be updating when we're drawing a line on surveys, however the sooner you get them filled in the better. Addresses have not yet been locked but will be closer to the project shipping and we'll update when they are.

Greeting Salvagers,
Please see our August update below on Salvage Union.
Production Update
This isn't news we love to give but we've endeavoured to be honest with you throughout the process. It's looking like there's a good chance due to a mixture of global shipping issues, paper shortages and the resulting production delays it's looking likely that physical copies of Salvage Union may be delayed till Q1 of 2023. Some backers may receive it sooner than this and others at a later dates based on how the global shipping situation will pan out.
We are still looking to fulfil all Digital Editions by the date of December 2022 and are using the additional time we have to further edit and develop the Core Book and all of the modules. In that respect the project is now in the layout phase and we'll soon have some nice spreads which we're looking forward to showing you all.
We are sorry about this of course but want to tell you all as soon as possible to manage any expectations.
Charging Cards
We're planning on locking and charging all cards for Salvage Union via BackerKit. This will happen We will be taking payment on the 1st of September and wanted to give you some early warning that your payments will be taken. Addresses will still be able to be edited at this stage and aren't being locked yet. We'll update you when they are.

Backerkit
BackerKit is live and the majority of you have now answered your survey. For those that haven't you've still got some time. Progress & Playtests
We've had a great run of one shot playtests and are in the midst of playtesting the campaign mode which has been a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who has joined a playtest. If you showed interest but couldn't make it we will be running a another wave of these closer to the release. The core books and modules are in their editing and layout phases, art is being steadily worked on with the majority complete and we're still overall on schedule for the project to fulfil as planned.

The ‘Z-80A’ Spectrum was developed by AMS Systems, a subsidiary of ThatcherSteel, as a pilotable, mobile, data centre for use in the establishment of colonies either off world or in hospitable locations.
The Spectrum’s chassis can protect the vital components from any environmental damage and in the event of a colony collapse it can be moved with ease along with the vital intel contained in its mammoth core.

A big update today so let's get to it.
BackerKit
BackerKit is now live. You will receive e-mails which will allow you to go through to BackerKit and upgrade your pledge, add additional add-ons to your purchase and pay for your shipping.
All shipping is tracked and Tax & Customs friendly in the EU, United States and UK. Shipping will be fulfilled by Ship Quest. Digital purchases will be fulfilled by BackerKit.
We have unfortunately had to increase shipping prices from the earlier estimates, this is due to a mixture of additional fuel costs and rising inflation in the current global climate which we are sure you're all aware of. We hope you can understand and we've still done everything we can to make them as affordable as possible.
BackerKit will be live until at least September. We'll update closer to the time on when we plan on closing and locking orders.
Available for Pre-Order are the Salvage Union Core Book, Special Edition, Digital Edition, all three adventure modules (Rainmaker, We Were Here First! and False Flag) as well as the set of 5 custom Salvage Union Dice. The patches and posters are also available to purchase.
The pre-order prices have increased from those in the campaign, due to aforementioned issues as well as an increase in paper prices, but we are also offering bundles for a discount. All pre-order shipping is tracked and Tax & Customs friendly in the EU, United States and UK. Shipping will be fulfilled by ShipQuest. Digital purchases will be fulfilled by BackerKit.
Retailers
Retailers who signed up with us on the Kickstarter campaign will have your own unique BackerKit portal where prices are set at their retail rates. You can purchase them directly from there. Playtests
Playtest dates to celebrate the pre-order launch are now live.
The first dates are the following. These are all for ONE SHOT games of Downing of the Atychos using the updated 1.5 Quickstart.
Tuesday 19th of July - 7PM - 10 PM BST
Thursday 21st of July - 7PM - 10 PM BST
Saturday 23rd of July - 4PM - 7PM BST
If you are able to make any of these times please get in touch with Panny via the Salvage Union Discord.
If you can't make these dates fear not, we will have more playtest times soon as well as more details about the campaign mode playtest.
We're on schedule as far as progress on the Kickstarter campaign goes.
By this month we will also have moved to our new London based studios where we're all going to be working a lot more closely together to get Salvage Union finished. We're really excited by this and will have lots more cool things to show you in the following months.
